BUDAMAR LOGISTICS at major European trade fairs

In October and November, BUDAMAR LOGISTICS representatives participated in important international transport fairs in Italy and Poland. The next one is scheduled for December in Paris. From 9 to 11 October, the Italian city of Padua hosted the third edition of the Green Logistics Expo. This trade fair focuses on urban logistics, warehousing and intermodal transport. We came to show the intermodal transport sector and our experience in it to existing and potential customers from Italy, to whom we provided information about our plans and possibilities for shipments to and from Italy. This trade fair is unique in that it brings together representatives of manufacturers, warehousing service providers, logistics solution providers and representatives of public institutions, which greatly increases the efficiency in communicating new opportunities and solutions.

"The railway market in Italy is an attractive one for our group, and we have been active there for several years in the field of intermodal services. We currently have two Siemens Vectron locomotives with the package required for the Italian infrastructure and in 2025 our fleet will be reinforced by two more such locomotives", says Viktor Bystrian, Business Development Director. Several of our trains run to and from Italy weekly, departing from the Mosnov and Bratislava terminals.

At the beginning of November, the TransLogistica Poland trade fair was held in Warsaw. This is the leading trade event in Poland and Central and Eastern Europe for entrepreneurs who use or seek transport and logistics services, as well as for anyone who is professionally connected with this sector. The aim of our participation in this trade fair was to introduce the company and at the same time to present the services of the Mošnov terminal, in which BUDAMAR LOGISTICS holds an ownership stake and also acts as one of the operators.

"The Mošnov terminal has the potential to grow thanks to its excellent location close to the border with Poland and Slovakia, and it should be stressed that it serves mainly clients in Silesia (in the southern part of Poland near the border with the Czech Republic)," says Viktor Bystrian.

The services of InterCargo, a member of the BUDAMAR LOGISTICS group, which operates on the Polish market and is one of the 10 largest Polish rail carriers, were also presented.

In December, on 5 and 6 December, our representatives will participate in the 64th European Commodity Exchange to be held in Paris. This is a meeting of representatives of all professions involved in the cereals industry, including carriers. This is the fifth time that this event will be held in the French capital. The main mission of this event is to facilitate interaction and exchange of information between the key players in the sector. You can find us at stand D10, where our colleagues will present the grain transportation options we can offer. The second day's programme will also include a conference on the rail freight transport of these commodities, which is designed to highlight new strategies and solutions to optimise processes in the rail transport of cereals and maximise profitability.  We look forward to seeing you there.
