On 19 March, the University of Žilina hosted its annual conference, which brought together students with major employers in the field of transport and logistics. The Faculty of Operations and Economics of Transport and Communications brought together companies operating in this sector, including representatives of BUDAMAR Logistics.
The aim of the event was to enable students to have direct contact with companies and experts who provided them with valuable information about the transport sector, its economics and management. The conference programme included interesting lectures, interactive discussions and a raffle at the end, to which we were happy to contribute attractive prizes.
Students had a unique opportunity to get information about internship opportunities and job positions directly from company representatives. This year we modernized the CV collection process - instead of traditional methods we introduced an innovative way of collecting them via QR code. Those students who did not have a prepared CV with them could use a special form to leave their details.
From our point of view, it was fantastic to meet a number of young, talented people who will certainly be a great asset to the job market in the railway sector. This event confirmed to us once again that the University of Žilina prepares students for real work experience and future professionals from this school will certainly play a key role in the development of the transport sector.
